Siggy has been on active duty with the Air Force for 15 years. He first discovered CrossFit when looking for new training methods to implement into his unit’s physical training regiment. Siggy began to implement CrossFit training into his own regiment as well to help with conditioning for long distance bike rides, running races, jiu jitsu, and muay thai. Along with increased conditioning Siggy also began to notice he was getting leaner while still adding muscle, something that had been impossible while doing the bodybuilding style workouts he had been doing for years. He soon began to focus all of his efforts into CrossFit and in 2009 completed the level one course. Siggy has had the opportunity to visit CrossFit boxes all over the world and experience several great coaching and training approaches, which he has implemented into his own coaching style. The one thing he enjoys the most about visiting other boxes is the community, no matter the level of athletes at the box he has always been welcomed in and made to feel at home. Siggy’s favorite part of being a CrossFit coach is seeing athletes step out of their comfort zone and achieve goals that they never thought possible.
